I used to be an agented writer specialising in material for children. I have been published as such by Oxford University Press, John Hunt, Heinemann, Knight and Bishop and Derbyshire Gypsy Liaison Group. I also self-publish.
I write both fiction and non-fiction for all age groups, but especially the 8 to 15 age group, reluctant readers, and specialist adult material on Gypsies and Travellers.
I edited a series of culture-specific reading books for children and published them for Derbyshire Gypsy Liaison Group.
I'm a broad pen writer with skills to teach in any reasonable genre on commission or ghosting.

I am a former Head Teacher whose school won the Queen's Bronze Environmental Award. The school was also the first one ever to stage a science exhibition manned by young children at the annual Royal Society meeting in London. I had to retire due to ill health and I am now somewhat disabled. You haven't got time for a list of it all and nor would I wish to bore you!
Email Writing Scheme
Via email, I write with children in Primary Schools (Y3-6) entirely by email. I respond to the type of writing which the school wants.
Basically, I write Parts 1, 3 and 5 of a piece of fiction or non-fiction. The children respond with parts 2 and 4 to end up with a good piece of writing which they have steered and part-written. There are several variations on the technique which can be tailored as schools wish but email traffic is always to the teacher and never directly to a child. The benefits to the children are enormous. Price £150 per individual child or small group or full class.
