The scarce dvd 'King of the Travellers' is one of the best Traveller dvds ever. It tells the story of a murder after a sulky race, feuding between two families, bare fist pugilism, love, betrayal and revenge. Extremely well observed in all respects. Brilliant! There is a double twist at the end which will catch you out. Region 2, 80mins. Stars include John Connors, Michael and Thomas Collins, Stephen Jones, Packy Lee, Peter Coonan, Carla McGlynn, Mick Doran. £7.50 |

The superb B&W film about the story of Violette Szabo who volunteered to be parachuted into France (twice) , leaving her infant daughter home in England; captured the second time and tortured by the Gestapo, she was sent to Ravensbruck concentration camp where she helped others face their ordeal until she was shot. Pavee Lackeen. Tender, warm, fresh and credible film about a 10 year old girl and the struggles she has as a Traveller. Many of the lesser parts in the film were actually taken by Travellers. £10.
